Trenchh1918

A lot of World War I was fought up close and personal. Both sides would dig trenches to live in and fight from. One side or the other would try to sneak up on the other, or try to overrun the other.

This often led to hand to hand combat in the trenches. When that occurred it was useful to have a weapon like the 1918 Trench knife. They a foot long and had very sharp dwere about ouble edged blades. The hand guard doubled as another weapon and as added protection for the hand.

Trenchh1918Trench knives were used in World War I, when troops would dig trenches to battle the opposing forces. They sometimes had to perform hand to hand combat in those trenches.

The 1918 Trench Knife was designed for close combat with a fixed, double edged blade of over 6 inches in length. Some Trench knives include a knuckle guard of sorts, and can include a scabbard of metal and leather.
