In my last post I discussed the interest in using throwing knives as an interesting hobby or activity. It might be even 
more enjoyable with a nice target at which to throw.

The WWI 1918 Trench Knife
A lot of World War I was fought up close and personal. Both sides would dig trenches to live in and fight from. One side or the other would try to sneak up on the other, or try to overrun the other.
This often led to hand to hand combat in the trenches. When that occurred it was useful to have a weapon like the 1918 Trench knife. They a foot long and had very sharp dwere about ouble edged blades. The hand guard doubled as another weapon and as added protection for the hand.
